House of Pixen™ worked with our partners in Nepal to design various lush wool products: tree skirts, holiday stockings, and ornaments.  Not only are these products beautiful, they have a wonderful texture. Luxurious, with a sense of the natural, as well as a nod to the quality most people consider only related to days gone by.

Think of the trim on Santa’s coat and hat. To survive the biting cold of the north pole it’s got to be warm, and it’s got to be thick. That’s what inspired the Claus stocking and Claus Christmas Tree Skirt. The Claus Stocking is not just hung by the chimney with care, it’s crafted with care as well.

All of our wool items, whether tree skirts, woodland bells, stockings, Christmas ornaments, or mistletoe are made of material of the highest quality with the finest New Zealand wools. We partnered with artisans in Nepal who work in a carbon-neutral environment using hydropower to provide energy for their materials. Our wool products are Swiss dyed and, in keeping with EU guidelines, are Azo-free.

Wool is an amazing material that takes on color in a wonderful way. It can have a natural, off-white hue, or rich greens, yellows and reds, as in the Woodland skirt and Woodland Stocking. It can take on the pristine white of the Fallen Snow tree skirt, or the rich red of the Red Wool Bobbin ornament.
